Depending on how heavy your bike is, your bike bag could weigh around 20 kilos. Obviously, if this exceeds your weight allowance you will incur a sporting equipment luggage charge at the airport. That price varies depending on airline. The charge for a return journey could be £70. Another thing to note, is that thankfully your bike is covered in your travel insurance.
